Big thanks to everyone who turned out to support or help out with
Middle Class Hero's Sydney season. I think we all proved that independent comedy has a long and healthy future in this city, so much so that some friends and I got together and have decided to plan an
Independent Comedy Festival for this time next year.
As for
Middle Class Hero, I'm going to take it to Adelaide for the Fringe next year and then put it to bed. The guys at GNWTV got a copy on tape, so I'll edit it and make it available at some point.
Below I've got some of the promotional material as well as snippets from the media. Enjoy. If you're into that sort of thing.
Want to bring down the government, but don’t want to get blood on your slimline executive manbag? Put down that angry letter to the editor, wipe those tears of impotence away, and come listen to someone who knows exactly how you feel.
Topics include: Adelaide’s Nazi history, embalmed Communist leaders, the true meaning of Asthma
and, of course, boxing.

Middle Class Hero
"We leap from tales of Adelaide's murderous past to a cringingly-funny account of Bloustien's mugging, and the range of territory covered here is commendable ... with a larger audience, Bloustien could raise the roof; his material is of an enviable quality"
Beat
"a brilliant writer and excellent stand-up"
The Groggy Squirrel
Shock of the New
"the next big thing"
